The Thursday Club

The "Thursday Club" (something of a misnomer these days, since the club operates on Tuesdays as well as Thursdays!) was formed in 1996, and is the brainchild of parishioner Les Moore.

Membership is open to anyone over 18 and the club provides a variety of activities and entertainments. A subscription of  £2.00 per week covers both Tuesday and Thursday activities, as well as refreshments and entry to a lottery draw. Come along to the Parish Centre on Tuesday from 10am to 12 noon and on Thursday 1pm to 4pm

TUESDAY

The Art Group meets every Tuesday in the Upstairs Hall from 10am to 12 noon. Materials  and  tuition are provided along with tea, toast and marmalade.
The class covers a variety of topics: still life, landscape, nature, abstract and figure, as well as considering colour theory and mixing, perspective and composition and the use of materials, e.g. watercolours, gouache, pencil, "open" work and mixed media. New members are always warmly welcomed.
	Tuesday is also Indoor Bowling day and we welcome everyone, especially learners, to join us . Tuesdays from 10am to noon and on Thursdays from 1.15 to 2.15pm

THURSDAY

If you're searching for a way to fend off Father Time, stop looking and start moving! Study after study shows that physical activity improves health by reducing the risk of obesity, heart disease, stroke, diabetes, certain cancers and osteoporosis. Exercise even helps to improve mood and staves off depression. Indeed, exercise is a key to good health well into the later years.	1.15 to 2.15pm join us for gentle exercise
	2.30 to 3.30pm Line Dancing or entertainment as notified in the parish newsletter. Tea coffee and cakes served at 3.30pm when the free lottery draw takes place.

In addition to our regular activities at the parish centre, we also arrange occasional days out and evening theatre trips.

All adults are welcome to join us every Tuesday and Thursday
