The Thursday Club

The "Thursday Club" was formed in 1996, and is the brainchild of parishioner Les Moore.

Membership is open to anyone over 18 and the club provides a variety of activities and entertainments. A subscription of  £2.00 per week covers both Tuesday and Thursday activities, as well as refreshments and entry to a lottery draw. Come along to the Parish Centre on Thursday 1pm to 4pm

If you're searching for a way to fend off Father Time, stop looking and start moving! Study after study shows that physical activity improves health by reducing the risk of obesity, heart disease, stroke, diabetes, certain cancers and osteoporosis. Exercise even helps to improve mood and staves off depression. Indeed, exercise is a key to good health well into the later years.	1.15 to 2.15pm join us for gentle exercise
	2.30 to 3.30pm Line Dancing or entertainment as notified in the parish newsletter. Tea coffee and cakes served at 3.30pm when the free lottery draw takes place.

In addition to our regular activities at the parish centre, we also arrange occasional days out and evening theatre trips.

All adults are welcome to join us

THURSDAY CLUB: Every Thursday between 1.15p.m. and 3.30 p.m.   You don’t have to be an O.A.P to join we are a non ageist group!!!.  If you know of anyone who would like to join us for an entertaining afternoon of guest singers, speakers, bingo, card games, stretch & relax, none of which are compulsory, then please let them know –  they will be very welcome to join us for an afternoon of good company and a laugh.  More info from Ivy on 0161 621 0542.
